PathJump — Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 7, 2026
Effective: October 7, 2026
This policy covers "PathJump" (the "App").
In plain words: the App barely touches your data. Only two things ever leave your Mac —
a device serial number and a licence key — and only for licence verification.
1. What we collect
Nothing.
- We do not upload the paths and notes you save, or your usage history.
- We do not read the contents of your files.
- No analytics, no tracking, no advertising SDK.
-
All settings stay on your own Mac, at:
~/Documents/公共偏好/直达路径/
2. How the App handles your data
The clipboard
"Word Jump" works like this: you copy a word, press the shortcut, and the App reads
that text from the clipboard to match it against keywords you have configured.
- Read once, at the moment you press the shortcut; no background polling or monitoring.
- What is read is never uploaded and never written to a log.
-
When a word has no mapping, a configuration panel opens on your Mac and you decide
whether to save it.
3. The only things that go online
Licence verification is the only thing that goes online. The App uses no Apple in-app
purchase, and makes no other network requests whatsoever.
a) Trial lookup
On launch the App sends its device serial number to the developer's server to look up
the trial period.
b) Licence verification
When you submit a licence key for verification, the App sends both the licence key and
the device serial number to the developer's server, to validate the licence and register
that key against the device.
- Nothing else is sent — your files, paths, notes and usage history never leave your Mac.
- The device serial number and the licence key are the only information the App sends out.
-
If you prefer not to send them, you can block the App's network access in System Settings
(this only affects the trial lookup and licence verification).
4. Permissions
-
The App does not require Accessibility permission, or Screen Recording permission.
(Early versions simulated ⌘C to read the selection; it now reads what you copied.) - Opening a saved folder or URL hands off to your default app.
- The App does not read files you have not pointed it at.
5. Third parties
The App includes no third-party analytics, advertising, or data-collection SDK. Any network activity involving Apple is itemised under "the only things that go online" above.
6. Your rights
- Delete your settings: just remove ~/Documents/公共偏好/直达路径/
- Uninstalling removes the App itself; the folder above must be deleted separately.
- To stop the licence-check traffic: System Settings → Network → Firewall, and block the App.
