iMouse — Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 7, 2026
Effective: October 7, 2026
This policy covers "iMouse" (the "App").
In plain words: a mouse and keyboard usage counter — how many keys you pressed, how many
times you clicked. Counting happens entirely on your own Mac. The only thing that leaves it
is a device serial number, solely for licence verification.
1. What we collect
Nothing.
- We do not upload your keystrokes, click counts, or usage statistics.
- We do not upload which keys you pressed — only a running count is kept, never content.
- No analytics, no tracking, no advertising SDK.
-
All statistics stay on your own Mac, at:
~/Documents/公共偏好/
2. How the App handles your data
Key and click counting
-
The App uses macOS global monitoring APIs to count key presses and mouse clicks, in order
to draw statistics and charts. -
It increments counters only — it does not record what you type. Passwords, chats and file
contents are not part of what it records. - Statistics are stored on your Mac and can be exported to CSV by you.
- They are never uploaded and never written to a log.
3. The only things that go online
Licence verification is the only thing that goes online. The App uses no Apple in-app
purchase, and makes no other network requests whatsoever.
-
Trial lookup: on launch the App sends its device serial number to the developer's
server to look up the trial period. - The device serial number is the only information the App sends out.
-
If you prefer not to send it, you can block the App's network access in System Settings
(this only affects the trial check).
4. Permissions
-
The App requires Accessibility permission, used solely to count key presses and clicks.
Counting does not work without it. - Because it receives global keyboard events, macOS may also ask for Input Monitoring permission.
- You can revoke both at any time in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility / Input Monitoring.
- The App does not require Screen Recording permission and does not use the camera or microphone.
- It does not read the contents of your files.
5. Third parties
The App includes no third-party analytics, advertising, or data-collection SDK. Any network activity involving Apple is itemised under "the only things that go online" above.
6. Your rights
- Delete your settings and statistics: remove this App's folder under ~/Documents/公共偏好/
- Uninstalling removes the App itself; the folder above must be deleted separately.
- Revoke Accessibility / Input Monitoring: System Settings → Privacy & Security
