FileExpress — Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 26, 2026
Effective: September 26, 2026
This policy covers "FileExpress" (the "App").
In plain words: the App is a purely local batch file tool — your file contents never leave
your Mac.
1. What we collect
Nothing.
- We do not upload your file contents, file paths, or file names.
- We do not upload your operation history, templates, or settings.
- No analytics, no tracking, no advertising SDK.
-
All settings stay on your own Mac, inside the app sandbox:
~/Library/Containers/com.mac.gcdev.g28/
2. How the App handles your data
How your files are processed
Batch Create / Batch Insert / Batch Replace all run entirely on your Mac:
-
Only the folder you explicitly pick in the App is touched (granted through the
system folder picker). -
Insert and Replace back up before writing. Backups stay on your Mac and can be
rolled back with one click. - In "Preview only" mode nothing is written to disk — the App only counts.
- Neither the process nor its results are uploaded, and nothing is written to a log.
3. The only things that go online
-
App Store in-app purchase (lifts the per-run file limit).
Payment, receipts and refunds are handled by Apple. We never see your payment details
and never receive your name or account. -
Purchase verification: after a purchase or restore, the App sends Apple's
transaction identifier and the App's bundle identifier to the developer's server to
confirm the transaction is valid. No receipt file and no device identifier are sent.
The App also submits a randomly generated local identifier with the transaction so the
purchase can be matched up; it contains none of your personal information.
Beyond this the App makes no network requests.
4. Permissions
- The App does not require Accessibility permission, or Screen Recording permission.
-
It only accesses folders you explicitly grant through the system picker; it does not
read files anywhere else. - Uninstalling the App ends those grants.
5. Third parties
The App includes no third-party analytics, advertising, or data-collection SDK. Any network activity involving Apple is itemised under "the only things that go online" above.
6. Your rights
- Delete your settings: just remove ~/Library/Containers/com.mac.gcdev.g28/
- Uninstalling the App also removes its sandboxed data.
- To revoke access to a folder: pick a different folder, or uninstall.
